Flash Images
Flash has a number of advantages over QuickTime:
More people have Adobe Flash Player installed than QuickTime.
Its harder for people to rip off your stuff.
You can upload all your flash files and player assets to your sever independent of the iWeb Media folder which makes publishing go a lot quicker.
Here, I’m going to do a photo display using thumbnails with captions and descriptions which, when clicked, will open the full size photo in a new window.
The advantage over the method used in the Displaying Photos page is that you don’t have to actually create the pages with the full size image.
Your captions and descriptions should contain keywords for the search engine spiders and you can also add alt image tags using iWeb SEO Tool.

I2SWF
These images were created in Keynote, exported as JPEGs and converted to .swf format using the application Image2SWF.
They were added to a folder named “I2SWF” which was uploaded to a folder on my server called “SWF”.
The full size images were then reduced to thumbnails using ImageWell and dragged onto this page.
Each thumbnail was selected in turn and enabled as an external hyperlink set to open in a new page.
The format for the URL is:
http://www.website.com/SWF/I2SWF/ImageName.swf

You can test each one by making the hyperlinks active in iWeb and clicking the icons
Image2SWF is a no brainer to use and costs about $10. Click the icon for more info.
