How It Works
The thumbnail images on this page can be viewed in two different locations.
By clicking the image a new browser image will open to reveal the full size image. To return to this page, close the window.
By clicking the caption you will be taken to another page on this site to view the full size image.
There is a back button to bring you back here.
Preparing The Images
First I exported the images in full size from iPhoto.
Next, a set of thumbnails was made in ImageWell by reducing the full size images to 200 x 150 px. These thumbs were then dragged onto this page.
I created a new page on this site and dropped the full size images onto it. The page is not included in the navigation menu.
The full size images were then converted to .swf format using Image2SWF, dropped into a folder and uploaded to my server.
Hyperlinks
Each caption was highlighted and selected as an internal link to the page of full size images in the Link inspector.
Each thumbnail was selected in turn and linked to the corresponding image.swf file on the server.
These are external hyperlinks set to open in a new window.
The format for the hyperlink is:
http://www.website.com/FolderName/ImageTitle.swf

Note:
I have placed all the enlarged images on the same page in this site.
Normally you would only put one, or maybe, two to the page.
As a “standard” page width is 980 px, a landscape image with an aspect ratio of 4:3 would be adjusted to 960 x 720 prior to loading into iWeb to fit the page width with a little room to spare.
